Morning Audibles 6.25.10 - Look!... Nevermind Don't

I'm just going to save my breath and put up the same chart as yesterday...

One either see the fractal or they don't...

Today we will see what the PPT is made of, or it could be very quiet out there ahead of the G-20 meeting...

There are no such things as stock market crashes when we have "wizards" & "smart guys" in charge

THAT's why the markets are so resilient? Right... People go to be KNOWING that their money and INWESTMENTS are safe... If we EVER EVER go down... It'll probably be by way of a 1 point loss every day... You know... It would therefore take us around 5 years to float down to zero...

Calmly and orderly...

How many fund managers out there do you think are looking at the calendar right now and thinking...

"Hmmm... 3 more days to go in the quarter... Can I make it to the finish line?... Especially since the GOLDEN CROSS is likely to occur around July 5th... And DOW THEORY has evidenced no new high in either DOW or TRANSPORTS..."

Tick Tock Tick Tock...

McFearless said...

Dow theory and golden cross?.....that's voodoo in MFville.

McFearless said...

more than likely they are all wondering where the hell they can find some cash...seeing as how once again they were all in at the top...literally, lowest cash levels as a % of assets ever......one need only watch the mutual fund managers to generally figure out where not to be.

@McF

I'm telling you...

Yet look at the indices today... Cool as a cucumber...

CV said...

@McF

If you've been following my words on this for the past week...

That GOLDEN CROSS is GOING TO HAPPEN...

Only way it doesn't would be if we rally to 1220 like in the next 5 days...

McFearless said...

yeah, 1220, I'm going to give that a 0 probability by next Friday....

Ben, that's why crude is on a tear.. not that tropical storm..

karen said...

i don't care what we do into the close. i've donned my new pucci and am going to make strong margaritas.. i do care about the sun coming back out, but even that won't matter if he surf has picked up.

CV said...

@McF

You know... When that CROSS HAPPENS & DOW THEORY is confirmed...

I don't care what sugary words come out of the mouth of Bernanke or Obama...

When it's time to head for the exits, it's time to head for the exits...

Karen,

who knows...you know I don't think events move markets, but I'm not going to deny that if this rumor about israel/iran is true that it would spike oil for a time.

I don't know if it's true, might just be baloney

Moon and Antarctica is my runner up.

one thing I do know for sure is that if this thing is going on in iran...it's a good thing they don't have maps in the iraq.

they don't have maps

http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2010-06-14-oil-relief-well_N.htm

"The wells proceed nearly straight down to about a depth of 10,000 feet. They then turn, guided by gyroscopes and magnetic sensors, drilling to within about a hundred feet of the leaking casing. From there, sensors detecting the lowered electrical resistance caused by the steel in the well help guide the drill."

I couldn't find the story I was looking for about the "installation of the guidance system", but essentially what they do now is charge the original pipe with an electrical current and aim the drill with a compass at north (old pipe). Looking for the north pole is difficult, you only know you missed it when you go past it.

Agreed Iman, I had a long drive the other day and ended up pulling them all out. I was driving way too fast.

Freaky how the SPX stayed between the two minor fibo levels.

the last 3, 5 min candles on spx are unnatural : )

Not as much time to keep up to date due to special events of late. However, still playing catch up throughout the day and around the close. Not having so much time to watch everything tick by tick has actually helped of late on the trading - sold 2/3 of my TZA for a small profit when averaged. Remaining 1/3 is.... nevermind. Took a gamble on TNA yesterday at 3:30 and sold today at 1:30. Luckily network was down at work and did not see market action until 1:00. I will not be doing that again but it was nice to get a solid single (4%) vs. striking out swinging for the fences.

Right now a fantastic short setup is coming. As per last nights post, looking for 1096-1104 before CV gets to watch the SHTF as he is so correctly predicting.

Nevermind - that trap door is looking sketchy to say the least. This market is beyond belief. I'm standing back on this one.

I-Man said...

Ahhh...

I see it now.

Close at 1071... set up a 1080 high on Monday... CV drinks champaigne on Monday night.

mcHAPPY said...

A close above 1076 calls the markets bluff.

Also the RUT is not along for this ride down.

McFearless said...

so, I see they are pushing to move derivatives onto exchanges.....derivatives will be banned at some point by govt.

CV said...

@I-Man

Nobody wants CV drinking champagne and ranting on this blog...

I-Man said...

Its cool, I'll take up street dice.

I-Man said...

Or dominoes, muthafucka...

mcHAPPY said...

@I

lol - I'm more in to Scrabble.

Monday starts out as every bulls wet dream... only to end in a nightmare.

Sorry - couldn't resist some cliche in to the close.

It was either that or Steve Rasso said buy this dip.

McFearless said...

From mish article on chinese materialism:

"I would rather cry in a BMW than smile on the back of my boyfriend's bicycle."

that's sad.

Mannwich said...

Well, that was less than inspiring.

Mannwich said...

For the bulls.

best scrabble word = Qi

I cannot wait to read MSM write up on today.

"WE ENDED GREEN PEOPLE! IT IS ALL GOOD! GREEN GOOD: BUY. RED BAD: BUY!"

OR

"THIS REALLY IS A TRADERS MARKET. ENJOY THE OPPORTUNITIES."

of course, this just means taht every moron with an online brokerage account *cough*mcHAPPY*cough* can buy high and sell low because they have not conquered the most deadly traits in tradinng or setting up positions: fear and greed.

I-Man said...

Someone bought a shitload of ES at 3:55...

CV said...

QUIZZICAL (on triple word & letter score)

Mannwich said...

That was me, I.

I-Man said...

Where did the cash spx close?

McFearless said...

are there two z's in the bag though?

we must be missing one if so....

I-Man said...

It was the highest volume print of the day by far... over 100k contracts

I-Man said...

LOL Manny... I knew you were Blankfein all along.

McFearless said...

I liked that close, we should get another good level for a short next week. I made one trade this week on Monday.

now that's boring.

I-Man said...

Nevermind, I see it closed at 1076.

Mannwich said...

Manny Blankfein. Has a nice ring to it. Or Blankmanny, Mannwichfein.

I-Man said...

Its a real mind trick to not get my cash spx and ES levels confused...

I might have to banish the cash spx from my head alltogether before I do something stupid.

I-Man said...

Alright homies and homettes... lunch awaits.

Peace, and have a great weekend!
