Morning Audibles

With the exception of the SPY FLASH CRASHING at about 4:15 (I think Jennifer was first to point out something funny going on at yesterdays close)... Then we see...

See? I tried to warn them if they attempted to cut costs and use old discarded ATARI programs to run the systems, eventually the whole thing would go BEZERK!

I knew it!... Waddell & Reed again!

Will people please be informed that it's supposed to look something like this...

No, those aren't "vote tallies" for the 2008 elections... You know... E-L-E-C-T-I-O-N-S... Those things that come around every two years which basically decide NOTHING except which citizens of the United States will decide to become expatriates if such and such a candidate wins...

They'll pack their bags and move to a country where the grass is greener, and things are immeasurably better...

As French Strikes Continue, Country Runs Out Of Gas

Like Here...

Or Here...

Or... If you prefer closer to (your former) home... (To the north version)

(to the South version)

C'Mon Man... It's infinitely better here (regardless of which dud they put in the White House)... Because here you can always just have a QUIET RIOT of your own...

Save your anger... And when it has subsided... Go take a look at your portfolio, see that you're long AAPL & Netflix, own a McMansion that you don't have to pay a mortgage on, and can't get foreclosed on... Go have yourself 9 kids, and to celebrate the birth of each one of the freshly minted little socialists, marxists, capitalist pigs, greenies, teabaggers, blogetteers, rascals... Have a Cigar!

Come in here, Dear boy, have a cigar.
You're gonna go far,
You're gonna fly high,
You're never gonna die,
You're gonna make it, if you try;

They're gonna love you.
Well I've always had a deep respect,
And I mean that most sincere.
The band is just fantastic,
that is really what I think.
Oh by the way, which one's Pink?

And did we tell you the name of the game, boy?

We call it Riding the Gravy Train.

We're just knocked out.
We heard about the sell-out.
You gotta get an album out.
You owe it to the people.
We're so happy we can hardly count.

Everybody else is just green,
Have you seen the chart?
It's a hell of a start,
It could be made into a monster
If we all pull together as a team.

And did we tell you the name of the game, boy?
We call it Riding the Gravy Train.

@Amen

Well you never really commented on (8:31)... (not that you have to)...

In any case... I guess that means that you're ACTUALLY thinking along the same lines as I am...

Basically... The ANTI VENOM (if you're a CHICOM), would be to dump US Treasuries on a 1:1 basis every time the US does a POMO operation...

Benny-boos plan goes up in smoke...

So sad... YOU'RE MAD...

Politically though... The Chinese are a pretty patient bunch... I'd think they'd might try to avoid the SCORCHED EARTH that the lane duck CONgress has the potential of enacting a ZINGER tarriff before they all become lobbyists and fundraisers for

SMEAR SARA PALIN in 2012...

Just a guess...

BAC not making more of a low than last week! what's up with that?!

cv said...

@karen

BAC will eventually be ZERO...

Oh no wait... FNM is .24 cents...

BAC will eventually be .24 cents... If you own that in DOLLARS, it'll be worthless...

If you own that quarter dollar as a pre-1964 Washington Quarter...

It'll buy you 2 gallons of gasoline... (but probably MORE when the time comes - assuming there is any gasoline to be found)...

They better pray 1150 holds today. A quick move to take that out and EVERYONE is heading for the exit. But it can't happen until after 3pm EST ;-)

I-Man -- YES! Today is awesome! The market is down, my puts are up, I solved my mothers' group's tax problem, my neighbor found my kid's missing flashlight, and the best baker in the whole neighborhood just arrived with a box of fantastic cookies as a thank you present for hosting the big bash over the weekend. They might have some nuts in them...so maybe I'll have to take one for the team and eat them myself.

I think we might have a new trend on our hands... its an old new trend, but a new one nonetheless...

Or is it, nonetheMORE?

cv said...

OK so let's figure this out...

Looks to me like...

Crude is 3-1 reverse correlation to bucky
GLD is 2-1 reverse correlation
SLV just a tiny bit higher than reverse 2-1

Plan your Bernanke Bucks trade peeps...

@I-Man

more or less... I guess

May have to look more into using 1.618 for timing possible reversals...

The fact that it lined up so closely to hitting 1186 was uncanny...

I knew there would be a higher number of posts here today. I believe we are 1.618 the regular posts.

Off the lows at 1161.58 at 2:06 I see a nice abc as a flat and within it 3 wave structures with the c ending in a nice 5 waves. Granted this is on the 2 minute charts but it is there with verylittle difficulty to see.

This ended at 2;56 and we since have new lows. Squiggles are hazardous to financial health though.

cv said...

@karen

Somewhere I made the comment to watch the 60 min. SPY RSI (compared to the other chart), to hit around 27...

We have a 26 right now (candle not closed)...

Keep your eyes peeled...

Because a wave bottom there, then a POMO tomorrow, then a lower low Thursday with a bullish divergence, may be all we get...

I'm taking it as it comes...

I should have said more blatant sexual overtone.

No, indeed. How does one politely ask one's clients how they would like their screwing? My profession is rapidly reduced to providing advice for how to position oneself for less pain, not gain.

Why would BAC lose $47 billion? I think that it is more likely that the loss would be commensurate with the loss in property values (plus the cost of serving a foreclosure).

Countrywide underwrote a lot of mortgages in hot (read: bubble) markets, so the losses are probably huge on those mortgages, but nowhere near $47 billion.
