Ra,

I took a tiny gain on an SLV swing today, looking at your chart, there's no reason to be long right now, .....trend fighting that is

I suppose on some level it's worth noting that the market couldn't close within the lower shadow of that hanging man on $spx.....we'll see what the rest of the week has in store, I watched two great traders (neely and Mark Minervini) take different approaches today, both are bearish, but they went about trading it entirely different.

@Ra,

can you get long term/historical charts with the 3lb?

Credit market not buying the rally? Lots of liquidity today, but spreads still not partying as hard as equities.

How long? Most of my charts go back 11 years. That's until I sign up for the historical data.

Matthew said...

If you can't, I can make them if you give me a data series. I wrote some 3LB software last year when I was "on the beach."

Wild few days....

Your 'random thought' here....

I'm a "lone wolf" in the gym. I don't normally work out with anyone. On 'chest' days...when I bench....i need someone to spot me...I find a warm body and just 'befriend' whomever is available.

Tonight I spotted for this guy (expecting the favor in return) doing some sets of 315#....he was an older guy but 'stout'...

He had just finished an "Open" weightlifting deal in Houston...

He's 54 years old and pressed 525 lbs last week...the dude prolly checks in at 5'9", 245lbs.

The more time I spend in a gym, the more I'm impressed with how physically fit folks can remain into their 50's, 60's, whatever.

It's crazy what's possible.

also, anything to be made of:

"...CFTC’s Division of Market Oversight Provides Temporary Relief from Large Swaps Trader Reporting for Physical Commodities

Washington, DC – The Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s (Commission’s) Division of Market Oversight (Division) today issued a letter providing temporary relief from the requirements of the Commission’s regulations regarding large trader reporting of physical commodity swaps (§§20.3 and 20.4). Because this is the first time that swaps data is being collected, this temporary relief is intended to provide sufficient time to enable both the industry and the Commission to develop and refine systems and processes that will be able to report these complex transactions.
On July 22, 2011, the Commission published large trader reporting rules for physical commodity swaps and swaptions. The rules require daily reports from clearing organizations, clearing members and swap dealers, and become effective on September 20, 2011. The letter issued today provides temporary relief from reporting, as long as parties are making a good faith attempt to comply with the reporting requirements, until November 21, 2011, for cleared swaps, and January 20, 2012, for uncleared swaps. Upon the conclusion of applicable relief periods, such reporting parties must become fully compliant.
