Morning Audibles 9.27.10

Whoda thunkit?

Apparently... nobody gives a FF about bankers, 'Wall Streeters', or the opinion of Wall Streeters who blog...

They're too busy facing the REALITY that they don't have a job, and probably don't have a boat or a Ferrari to get themselves to the movie theatre to buy a ticket to see a film about people who they don't relate to in the least bit, and continue to lie to them 23 years after the fact...

`Wall Street' Misses as Public Stresses Over Jobs Not Misdeeds'

Excerpt: "Public frustration has moved on from Wall Street bankers since the crisis two years ago and now is focused on the pace of recovery and unemployment. People are more concerned about making ends meet than financiers’ misdeeds, said Lee Ohanian, an economics professor at the University of California at Los Angeles..."

Money Never Sleeps?

Well last I heard it, it ought to be catching up on some "Z"'s, But the "O"'s keep interfering...

@karen

"Fantasy Trading Contest"...

Tell thor at the other blog about it...

Dog forbid that any real money should be at stake when it comes to giving opinions about capital markets...

LB feels more like Bruce every day. Piles of cash and trading smaller stakes these days, on "the economy" and "The FED".

At the moment, the easy money has been made for a while. For me, buying Treasuries at 4.00% 10y and selling below 3% was the easy money.

Gotta go peeps...

Packers-Bears tonight...

CV was favoring a play on the Packers earlier in the week... But the line movement suggests CAUTION...

The BOOKS didn't fare too badly yesterday as a few heavily bet favorites (such as the PATRIOTS, RAVENS & SAINTS) didn't come through... Cowboys & Vikings won & covered (but luckily for the books - most of the public had lost faith in them and were betting the other way - CHUMPS)...

However - perennial bet teams STEELERS & COLTS gave the public a payday... And there was a lot of money bet on the JETS in the SNF game...

I'm guessing that the PACKERS might be tied into a lot of parlays &/or exotics...

Sometime when you're a little ahead you have to take money off the table and lock in profits...

So while I won't go THE OTHER WAY (and switch to the BEARS)...

I'll pass on the game...

Maybe Green Bay wins (by a point or two)...

I need 26 pts from Cutler tonight for my other league.

come on man!

if we didn't top today for short term we should before the week is out, problem is, I think this might just be a wave 2 down, shorts could make money on it, but by the time the trade becomes clear it might be just in time for wave 3 up to rip ur face off.

stay ninja

also, in the old school manner, today was a Dow Theory non-confirmation, we'll see what old man Russell has to say about it.
