Well, I went to the big dog party Friday. Ho hum. I had hoped to talk about the local economy, but every Harry Wanger there was running for political office, and if I have shaved again before we left I'd probably have had more smooches on my cheeks than a newborn baby. From both genders.

Actually, I had a good time. But all the small talk was about the local elections, and damn if there aren't a lot of people running for office this year...

...I wonder why......

But by talking about the economy allows you to find out their thinking on the situation the US is in and whether or not they'll add to the problem.

Unfortunately, although many of the people there had good jobs or were self-employed, it appears to me that the reason so many are running this year, and often relatives of the folks I saw Friday, is that they recently lost their job, or their restuarant shut down, or etc.

..Need the election to give them a source of income in other words...I am not sure that they would not say almost anything to get elected....

...color me cynical...

"whether or not they'll add to the problem."

Tomorrow's thread... AGAIN... On the VIX...

But it might be the most ECLECTIC thread anyone will ever read on a blog that is involved with CAPITAL markets...

The blog host has lived a VERY eclectic life...

Music and $$ often intertwine in mysterious ways...

- In terms of MAKING it...
- In terms of LOSING it
- In terms of EXPLAINING it (and the passage of time)...

Hello Peeps
I missed you all, just spent a couple of hours reading up on all the news.

See you all tomorrow :)

My youngest daughter turns 11 years old today.

The times they keep changin.'

Crazy!

My slide 3 from the last market update should apply to the S&P. We should see a correction now, but I wouldn't shoot the whole wad on that idea....

@Andy

OK Max (lol)...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your daughter... (you better give her the best damn cake ever, or you're BANNED from SC... Even though you are the FOUNDING FATHER EMITRIUS...

@Nic

If you don't start POSTING soon... None of us are going to know what to do...

Breathe a breath of fresh air - and tell us ALL that you feel better...

Lastly - I'm going to go ahead and POST Tuesday morning audibles EARLY...

There are IMPORTANT expressions (vis-a-vis - THE MARKETS)... That it might be important to be prepared for...

If not?... All well and good... Cv has some anecdotal stories (which I've NOT found opportunity to express before))... That I'll share in this moment...
