Sheesh! There are three Fed speeches today. At least the speeches are after the close. First up will be Kocherlakota then Tarullo and finally Fisher.

This is the first time that RSI(14) for SPX has been under 50 since 7/25/12.

Ra,

I learned a lot about different ways to use RSI from Connie Brown:

Bear market RSI (14) tends to have a low end support zone of 20-30 and a high end resistance zone of 55-65

Bull market RSI (14) tends to have a low end support zone of 40-50 and a high end resistance zone of 80-90

haven't marked this up in a long time but you'll get the idea:

I remember her ranges. Bull is 80-30 and bear is 65-20. Or something like that.
