Wade DID NOT want to get posterized in his home town!

@Amen

"POSTERIZED" is one of CV's favorite modern day expressions...

Wade needs to speak the charm of making to recover...

"Anal nathrak, uthvas bethud, do che-ol di-enve.

But he's not CELTIC... Or even GAELIC, for that matter...

Only LB may even be close to be speaking in these tongues...

Anal nathrach, orth' bhais's bethad, do che'l de'nmha.

BTW... I liked LB's take on bucky at the end of the last thread... Kinda where I'm leaning at the moment on that... Whereby evolved my previous cryptic comment...

HOPE & CHANGE BITCHEZ! (or is it 'ROPE & CHAINS')?...

Indiana Supreme Court Dispenses With Magna Carta, Constitution

Richard Barnes, a regular Joe citizen of Indiana, who was in the midst of marital problems with his wife one evening in 2007. The couple was arguing when police arrived to the scene and attempted to enter the home.

Barnes made it very clear to the officers that they were not to enter his home. The officers did not have a warrant, and they did not have probably cause to believe that anything illegal was happening. But they entered regardless.

Barnes tried to block the door, and as the police officers muscled their way past him, he shoved one of them against the wall in defense of his property. Barnes was choked and tasered in his own home, subsequently hospitalized, then charged with misdemeanor battery on a police officer.

The case went to court, and the Barnes defense team cited a private citizen’s right to resist unlawful entry into one’s home. They lost. The case was appealed, all the way up to the Indiana Supreme Court. Here’s where it gets interesting.

The Court agreed that the police officers entered the Barnes home illegally. The Court further agreed that one’s right to resist illegal entry has existed since the Magna Carta. The Court further agreed that the US Supreme Court has reaffirmed this right to resist unlawful entry in numerous court cases.

Seems pretty cut and dry, no?

Yet, in summarizing the court’s opinion, Justice Steven David writes, “We hold that there is -no right- to reasonably resist unlawful entry by police officers.”

"Rope and Chains"

I'l say it right here right now... If THE OTHER GUY had been elected, Things probably wouldn't be any better...

Difference is???

The OTHER GUY wasn't putting himself out there to be some kind of messiah, & didn't have a bunch of DADBLASTERD FOOLS hypnotized like he was some kind of PIED PIPER...

History won't prove whether Obama was effective, or NOT effective... In my mind, the whole 2008 election will be summed up in something a lot less lofty...

Namely... How GULLIBLE most Americans are... (& if you VOTED for Obama, then it's about time you did an overhaul on your propensity to get 'conned')...

@Amen

Be careful... He may be saying... "He POSTERIZED me once... Once!

Ochocinco barely lasted two seconds. Promptly got the hell out of the way when he fell off.

Maybe they need to do a new movie padner...

In a way... I gotta give him some kinda weird credit... No effin way I'd ever sit on one of those monsters...

I'm actually sort of a Heat fan. I've always liked the way D.Wade played and I actually became 'sympathetic' to Heat due to the incessant Heat bashing I heard most of the year (on Talk Radio) when they were 'struggling.'

LBJ is a Man Beast and D.Wade is a stud. Chicago's defense is friggin fantastic...all of Thibadeau's D's have been good (Houston under Van Gundy, Boston under Doc Rivers).

I think it's going to be a really good series. Luol Deng was sort of 'sick' in that Game 1...not sure he repeats that sort of performance. LBJ/D.Wade looked "off" coming off the Boston Series.

Think the Heat will look a lot better in Game 2.

Andy T said...

in re: bull riding.

At the Houston Rodeo Bull Riding SemiFinals....only 1/4 of the dude stayed on the Bull for 8 seconds.

Must got tossed after 2-3 seconds.

I'm thinking it's harder than it looks....

I can tell you this much....there's NO WAY I would have ridden a bull for $10,000.

Fuck That.

Maybe I would do it for $100-$150K....but 10 is way too little....

The only bad thing about the Bulls beating the Heat will be that fucking Obama will just use it as some kind of propaganda stunt to put his skinny tapdancing ass in the limelight...

BARF!

I suppose the most entertaing thing we can HOPE for at this point is for the Mavericks to make it into the finals with the Bulls...

& Mark Cuban can POSTERIZE Obama...

Note: CV is NOT a Mark Cuban fan... But in this CELEBRITY BOXING world, you have to pick your heroes & villians as they come...

I guess it's kind of like trying to take sides with either the 200 pound trailer trash slut on Jerry Springer, or the meth cooking cheater who cheated on her...

Some of the comments on the Gibson dunk on Wade:

1. This Video has been removed by Dwayne Wade

2. Breaking News: "Dwyane Wade just got Taj Mahal-ed."

3. LOL!!! 146 dislikes is absolutely hilarious. You can't be a basketball fan and not appreciate this...unless...

4. Dwayne Wade has 146 accounts?

5. This dunk was soooo nasty my mom walked in on it and I changed to porn.

6. Taj Gibson should send condolence letters to D Wades whole family.

7. Charles Barkley just took Wade off his FAV5 and added Taj Gibson!

LMAO

The announcer on TV mentioned he was probably the best athlete on the field. I said the same thing to my buddies at the time.

There was probably only one player on that field that could have done a similar thing...Jose Reyes, the Mets shortstop....who looked pretty friggin' athletic to me.

AR. He did get caught..but I think he gets off easy. He gets to collect on whatever 'bet' was made to him...and he's got his 15 minutes of fame....so, if you asked him, he'd probably tell you he'd do it all over again.

He snubs his nose at authority.

He's bomabastic...arrogant...smart....

What's NOT to like?

I was thinking the same thing when I was watching the TAJ GIBSON dunks... And the name of that player was, the ONE, the ONLY... David Thompson... (the man that could take a take a quarter off th top of the backboard & leave the change)...

Making BILLIONS, "on paper", IMO requires as much LUCK as skill (the inherent problem with putting your trust in PAPER)...

I think you have to be arrogant to expect that you'll succeed in doing both...

I suppose "small frys" have a chance tho...

Bill Gross & Warren Buffett???

I'm not thinking that it's going to be so easy for them (but I suppose they already have some kinda farmland in Montana & Argentina along with a few bars of gold)...

If I'm a small fry trying to trade my way to paper riches these days, I'm not liking my chances in ending up with something REDEEMABLE (unless I'm making enough to siphon off something physical in the process)...

I would never ride one of those bulls, those things are friggen huge, and angry, and horns. It's funny he fell off right away but I also give him a ton of credit for even giving it a shot. He got a Ford F150 out of it and is giving it away which is cool.

AT,

Not a Heat fan, and admitted fellow basher, I'll never forget the post-game interview I saw live during the regular season when Lebron stated that he would "continue his greatness in Miami"

yeah, he's awesome, I'm not denying that, but a little bit a humility might be in order here, I sure as hell never heard Magic, Bird, MJ, or any other great player talk about their greatness before they ever won a title....or several. I can't even stand Isaiah Thomas but I watched that guy ball his eyes out remembering titles they won on an ESPN Classics episode because of what it meant for him to be part of a team that went all the way, it wasn't about his greatness though. You don't see Kobe saying stuff like that, and Kevin Durant is all of Lebron James as far as I'm concerned.

Little tough to respect a guy much acting like that. I do like D wade, even followed him back at Marquette and I like Chalmers as well but they aren't going to be able to play this weak isolation stuff against the bulls and thats the problem because thats all the Heat have done all season. The Bulls are no joke and I love it, brings back a lot of memories of MJ who I was hooked on as a kid.

I understand those sentiments on the Heat...for sure.

Agreed that the "weak isolation" shit will not work against the bulls in the long run.

I still like them in Seven games against the Bulls. It should be an epic series.

It probably is....

Though, Cuban is still good in my book....as he probably discloses it somewhere.

G'night all.

cv said...

OH...

& MORE "other things" (while I'm at it)...

I've been looking at things... My take is that the NFL will, in fact, start ON SCHEDULE...

I figured out the reason for the delay...

L-A-Y-W-E-R-S

They bill by THE HOUR... So there's NO POINT in getting a deal done before, probably, 5 past MIDNIGHT...

So that explains the delay...

Now, ONTO the season...

WEEK ONE has several 'interesting' games...

SAINTS - PACKERS (Thursday opening game)

Packers are likely to be installed as 4 point favorites... I'd FADE that... I'll take the SAINTS & 4 points any day of the week here...

STEELERS - RAVENS

Ravens will probably be 3 point favorites (playing at home edges the line 3 pts your way - which basically makes this game a PICK 'EM)... FADING the Superbowl LOSING team is a high % bet... Plus, the Ravens will give then no quarter... This is a gift... TAKE THE RAVENS (even tho CV has a Ravens bias)...

GIANTS - REDSKINS/COWBOYS - JETS

The NFL is doing a 9/11 "10 year anniversaty" thing... The SCHEDULE came out BEFORE Obama decided to take Bin Laden out of the ice box and bump up his polling numbers in the wake of the birth certificate Photoshop fraud...

In any case...

The REDSKINS 'Blow"... Take the Giants... & I'll go with the J-E-T-S Jets, Jets, Jets too...

You heard it all here first...

cv said...

---

Miami has to dispens with the idea of "sharing" defensive coverage against Rose between 3 players...

Wade gets too exhausted playing that role (& thus is ineffective on offense)...

They need to just let Rose score his points & try to match that with Wade not wiping himself out...

@Andy T

Oh...

& more on week one NFL...

HOUSTON is hosting Indy again...

Fade City!...

If you're betting AGAINST Peyton Manning two years in a row in that situation, you're probably going to outlive your gambling bankroll... Which isn't a good thing unless you enjoy washing dishes...
