Morning Corner 2.1.11

Rough Rice (weekly info)
trend=no
direction=down (2 bars)
low= 13.70
rev= 15.05; mid= 14.38

Last week rough rice closed above the weekly 3LB mid and today closed above its weekly 3LB reversal price. Ruh roh. Food riots coming to a country near you…soon.

Wheat (weekly info)
new high 912.00
trend=up
high= 912.00
rev= 851.00; mid= 881.50

Ok so rough rice prices are bad for many. Wheat isn't helping. Trend is up and looking to take out recent highs. Ruh roh #2.

Coffee (weekly info)
new high 245.00
trend=up
high= 245.00
rev= 225.30; mid= 235.15

This needs to stop. Don't mess with my coffee!!! People can speculate all they want. But if coffee prices get too high we're going to have a problem.

@Andy

I think WEBBOT had some "chatter" about the whole internet going down on February 8th...

So great... Finally the market does a reversal, and nobody could trade it...

btw, who thinks the Market for U$D 3 lipbalms, @ stores like CVS and/or Kroger's, is growing/ready to moonshot?

I don't want this to come out the wrong way because I'm not some scholar expert or anything but I've studied middle eastern/Egyptian history for many years now, I know a few things, I probably don't know a lot more.

That said, I think a lot of these people making comments about Egypt have no idea at all what they are talking about.

I-Man's Square of 9 cycle dates that hit that window:

Feb 3, 2011, vibration off July 1, 2010 low.

Feb 8, 2011, vibration off Nov 20, 2008 low.

Those are two that could line up with Neely's work...

But I prefer to have some multi-hits for mega trend changes...

And the only one of those that is nearby is 3/6 to 3/9 of 2011.

Those are from YM, not from the DJIA index.

@ben22

Well... I think the mighty "Thor" was just in Egypt and put up a couple of pictures of him holding up the pyramids...

Probably brought home a pissing pharaoh water fountain as well...

So I'm sure he's qualified to tell you everything you need to know about Egypt...

Me? Well... I once stayed in a "Holiday Inn Express" (in Sharm al-Shiek)...

I do know that "back in the day", the Egyptian slaves consumed roughly 40 ounces of beer a day...

CV,

Was he really there? I haven't been over to the blog in a while.

How long ago? That's pretty amazing luck with the timing if he was just there.

Strong Beer also equals water that doesn't go bad. Most of the people during the middle ages were completely sauced, no clean water.

It was over a month ago... Before Christmas, I think... I haven't been over to that blog in awhile either...

Nevertheless... Gotta wonder... Maybe he started the whole thing!!! Maybe he got to "policing blogs" and comments and all & the next thing you know, THE WHOLE FUCKING INTERNET IS DOWN in Egypt and people are taking to the streets...

Then again... Maybe it's just all a gig gay pride parade (and Al-Jazeera doesn't report it that way because it's against Muslim law)...

Sorry guys... just funnin' here...

Yeah. Thor did go to Egypt. He talked about how wonderful it all was and how much he "learned."

But, he obviously had no clue that the government was on the cusp of regime change.

Which is, either evidence that:

a) revolutions and riots do spontaneously erupt;
b) Thor is, as Ahab noted last week, the stupidest non-heterosexual walking planet earth; or,
c) A little bit of both a&b.
