Futures higher in the overnight session (again). Someone keeps hoping it will carry over into the day session.

I think the 53% have decided things are coming to a head. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Greek tragedy end by the first of the year.

And we've lost the idea of the American dream. It isn't a home, etc...it is the ability to raise oneself out of a life born into poverty. It would seem the 47% would rather have a government program than live the dream.

Ra,

have you been trading AAPL at all? that has been quite the fall of late

I've been able to make a couple intra-day shorts....a couple days ago I thought it might find very short term support in the low 570's and I was going to place a stop around $569 for a long but by the time I sat down after a morninig call it had already plowed right through that level and I'd have been stopped out anyway.

No trading of AAPL. Just using it as a guide since so many are heavily invested in it.

We all probably know that the fiscal cliff resolution will be to kick the can down the road. The question is will the market will have a negative reaction.

Seems like they could let the 50SMA get taken out but will not allow the 200SMA to be violated. Not before the weekend anyway.

Is it the 200SMA or the 200EMA that freaks out the market the most?
