"The number of people in part-time work rose to the highest level on record since 1992 during the three months to September, according to the Office for National Statistics.

Experts said the rise in part-time workers and the self-employed were the main reason behind the drop in people out of work to 2.45 million, 9,000 lower than the previous quarter.

They described the rise in employment as “misleading”, saying it was based on “shaky foundations”.

Jonathan Loynes, an economist at Capital Economics, said: “The headline employment figures continue to give a misleadingly strong picture of the true state of the labour market. The latest rise in employment was again driven entirely by increases on self-employment and part-time positions.”

..Thank goodness there are no new laws here in the US that might make us shift our hiring in this manner...

HAHAHA. Obamacare is definitely making many companies adjust working hours. I think I read somewhere that the number of hours for full time is now lower.
