@Amen

Tomorrow that fake Apple store will be a park (with trees, flowers, benches, etc).

& the day after, it will be 2 fake Apple stores... & so on (respecting all fibo relationships, of course)...

@ben

My mind only sees "swirling patterns" when I'm praying at the altar of the porcelain god (it's quite possible that Mel is there right now)...

If I could have found "The Man Show - Wheel of destiny" video (where one of the losing props was to receive a "swirlie" from Lou Ferrigno - I' have posted it)... Alas, this is the best I could wrangle on short notice)...

...also, from other thread...

"expaning triangles"... Kind of OXYMORONIC when you think about it, considering that a triangle is a closed geometric form...

AmenRa:

I received a pretty good recommendation from a reader today....

in re the blog:

~~~~~~~~~~~
"I'm thinking that you and Ra, as blog authors...you guys really need to start giving quizzes and such...you know, to be sure that everyone knows, without a doubt that you have all, and I mean ALL, the answers.
http://www.ritholtz.com/blog/2011/07/crisis-causation-final-exam/
You want to know why there is a hole in the ozone? Because Ritz' head is so effing big he poked a hole in it. "
~~~~~~~~~~
I thot this was a pretty good suggestion. So, from now on we're going to start explaining to the readership why everything happens....

...because, you know, we have all the answers.

Thank you Reader X for the good suggestion.

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/InterDigital-shares-leap-on-apf-3324033181.html?x=0&.v=1

On Wednesday July 20, 2011, 3:44 pm EDT
NEW YORK (AP) -- InterDigital Inc. shares jumped Wednesday on speculation that Google Inc. is interested in buying the company to take control of its thousands of patents on wireless technology.

The shares rose $15.89, or 29.8 percent, to $69.15 after The Wall Street Journal reported that Google has held preliminary discussions with InterDigital about buying it. The newspaper cited people it did not name.

Google's interest in InterDigital's 8,800 worldwide patents stems from the growing popularity of Google's Android -- now the world's most popular operating software for smartphones -- and the need to protect against patent-infringement lawsuits targeting the technology. Google's interest is heightened now that a consortium of rivals including Apple Inc., Research in Motion Ltd. And Microsoft Corp. have prevailed over Google in acquiring some 6,000 patents from bankrupt telecom equipment maker Nortel Networks Corp. for $4.5 billion.

King of Prussia, Pa.-based InterDigital said Tuesday that it is trying to sell the company.

"Not when you look at it in reverse"

Oh, cv is all about that... Note: that I didn't label it as WRONG... I labeled it as OXYMORONIC...

Kind of like labeling Ritholtz as an "economic expert" (or something like that)...

Or kind of like saying Thor... um... well... WTF is it that the iconic shield (named after some kind of poodle or something or other) actually does to contribute to anything that is actually of use?

Intellectually midget parrots bitchez!

Actually... in my grandoise cerebral capacity... I searched & searched & found a use...

Obama needs you to stay close to your bretheren & needs your vote in 2012...

If you're counting on the 'desperate housewives' crew to jam your groove...

Well, then... You didn't heed CV's warnings (of about 2 years running now) that your biological was ticking at an Einstein-ian time warp velocity...

Tru dat.

At some point, every great artist asks themselves the question....

What do I want?

a) to be relevant; or,
b) to make shit tons of money.

Most go with Option B.
