Richard Russell "Technical Outlook Is Still Bullish"

Says holding the trend line, ROC(13) turned up and no bearish formations in the charts.
Damn.
"It is against this backdrop that you should be especially dismissive of any and all partisan rhetoric that proposes to reduce the deficit by trimming this or that program by a few billion here and there. Until and unless you hear about cuts to the big four - Defense, Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security - you can be certain you are merely listening to partisan talking points aimed at posturing for the next election, not credible plans for attacking the root of the problem."

@5.38
No truer words have been spoken....
Will take some courageous leadership to start attacking those issues...
I'm not bullish that prospect.
AR.. from the RR piece, "Often, what does not appear can be as important as what does appear."
That said, "seeing" what is missing is part of the job..
Karen
I wonder if what's missing is the credit market.
I-Man at 4:20 on TLT.
That target of 102 is also what LB indicated he thought TLT will hit on its way back up.
Great minds...
RG
Once TLT trades above 90.58 (weekly 3LB mid) then 102 will come into play.
I felt like a train hit me this morning. I feel much better now. It doesn't look like I missed much of anything today (no surprise).
I know several folks in the Baltimore/DC area that have come down with flu-like symptoms. It seems like those high stress east-coasters are coming down with a little bug.
Tiger Woods Still Classing the Joint Up
Just checked out the Daily chart on TLT:
90.39-90.80 would be the first and second levels of resistance on that puppy. It sort of looks constructive because the downside momentum has been waning, but I'd rather see it get through that zone of resistance first....
IOW, essentially what Ra said at 8.33PM
AT,
not to defend Woods, but, really,l it's amazing he can Play as well as he has..
look David Duval, even Ian Baker-Finch, among many, that hit some kind of vortex -- not nearly as large as the one Woods is/was(?) in -- and they're still struggling/can't even play..
that Woods can even hit a Golf Ball, compared to what has happened to other dudes, is, somewhat, amazing..
~~
also, I hear ya TLT, it is a little early, but, I think if Rates don't start 'helping out'/going Lower, there's going to be a whole different 'can o' worms' that'll open up..
LSS: Demand for 'cans of Whiskey' would go, near, Vertical..

AAIP--
Not sure there is an apt comparison to Woods. Ian Baker Finch was sort of a one-off flukey sort of guy who just fell apart after success with all the nerves.
Duval was a bit different...he was really a special golfer...in his prime, his game was every bit as good as Woods. He put a ton of pressure on himself to win that first major, as if it would add some new dimension to his game. He actually altered his game a little bit in order to get that win. In the end, the changes were not longer term beneficial. He ended up with various physical issues and was never the same...
Sort of a sad story, that guy.

in re: TW. He's just sort of a jerk. He's always been a jerk on the Golf Course. He acts like an idiot when things aren't going his way. Too much profanity, club throwing, etc...
Just don't like him much.....
DXY couldn't hold 78.60 and is dropping in the AH. AUDJPY, EURJPY & EURUSD are all higher in the AH. Silver and gold up also. BTW when was the last time the Loonie has stayed above par for this amount of time?
AT,
I hear you, as I was saying: "not to defend Woods, but, really, it's amazing he can Play as well as he has.."
and, right you are, in specifics re: IBF & DD.. the broader point, I guess, I was trying to make is that ~"there are a lot of dudes that totally fold under 'Pressures' that Woods has been able, so far, to cope with..
I think it's, actually, pretty amazing from that perspective..
though, like you (again) I've never been a huge Woods fan, and think the incessant Woods coverage, for whatever reason, has detracted from Golf--even though it brough buckets of $$ to the Game..
btw, switching Sports, whatever happened to John Rocker?
AAIP
Looks like we should get that 1339 tick tomorrow AM....
Wow.
MEH@10.29
I have to agree with you on that one. Mentally, TW has been a stud. And, his game, given the crap he's been through, is pretty good. The fact he can't "close" a tourney, though, must be gnawing at him....
John Rocker...
Who cares.
Ha.
Shanghai Comp trading above its weekly 3Lb reversal price. They've figured out how to game their markets by watching the masters.
"somebody now has to come behind him and maybe putt over his spit. It does not get much lower than that."
quelle horreur!
