Russell 2k & Dow Trans still haven't taken out their 2011 highs as SPX, NASDAQ and Dow Indu have.

Non confirmation of the move higher?

Just saw the update from Neely on the S&P500. Interestingly, his basic wave count from the Mar '09 lows, the marking of the wave beginnings and ends, now match what I had been suggesting all along. There had been subtle differences all along, but now we're more closely aligned.

Love it.

Follow note...Neely and I are still labelling the last few months a little differently...but he'll probably come around. Ha.

I'll lay Tiger Woods 4:1, up to a $100/$400 limit. First $100 to hit me gets filled...avoid the messy Vegas stuff....I'm a good credit, right CV?

AT,

two things

1. I'm fairly certain "invictus" (I used the name before the movie, look it up!) does political analysis rather than statistical. It is seemingly the common denominator that prompts each one of them. In fact, since it was revealed he worked for mother merrill, he's not legally allowed to publish any of that stuff in the first place anyway.

2. Neely has been tapping the edge of relabel for a solid month now, he vanished for an entire week recently.....vacation. As an aside, anyone that followed my RSI post(s) would be watching government bonds right now with a great deal of interest, the 10 year in particular.....

Do you mean how it's bumping up against the 61.8% retrace (in the RSI) and the move down in the bond looks ready to accelerate?

The 90Day UST had a monthly 3LB reversal up in 01/12 and confirmation in 02/12. It's still above the monthly 3LB mid (0.065). It's above its upper trend line. Weekly RSI(14) isn't overbought (60.37). Ruh roh BB.

Ouch!!! Hope you get well soon. I'm thinking 1443.40 for the SPX which is the midpoint between 100%-61.8%.

Q4,

that blows~ GWS!

with that, though, now, may be the Time to learn about..

ARTHROKINEMATICS

Basic Functional Anatomy of the Thumb and Fingers

"...The Fingers. All reciprocally concave-convex metacarpophalangeal joints are freely movable with the exception of abduction and adduction. The convex metacarpal heads fit snugly against the shallow sockets of the proximal phalanges. The interphalangeal joints are true hinge joints that allow considerable flexion but only slight hyperextension. The carpal-metacarpal articulations in the fingers are fortified by individual complex ligamentous apparatus surrounding each joint in all directions. This tends to restrict carpometacarpal motion.

Finger motion is versatile because of the dynamic balance between muscles and tendons that creates an equilibrium of static and dynamic forces. This is an excellent example of viscoelastic forces that resist tendon-unit lengthening. The components involved are the fascia, tendon sheath, perimyseum, joint capsule, and joint inertia. If the viscoelastic forces on the anterior aspect exceed those on the posterior aspect and the extensors relax, for example, the digit flexes..."

interesting 'side reading'..

http://salmun.cwahi.net/health/nhr/gwah/gwah.htm#17

Hydrotherapy can, indeed, aid the Healing of sutured wounds..

though, as you may suspect, Hygiene, in such circumstances, is Critical..

but, you'll, already, have that 'concern', w/, or w/o 'Hydrotherapy'..

it's, fairly, simple, though, "Rules", like, 'Do not use unfiltered Pond Water'..and its ilk..are necessary..

Hopefully, 'they' "taught" you, at the Hospital, 'How to care for your Dressings'..

but, if not, that, too, can be 'self-taught'..

All the best~

Ra, thx, sounds like more and more see 1440 so the 1443.40 looks good. Speaking of 61.8%, little finger cut is about 61.8% around the base of finger...imagine that!

AAibid, thx, first thing i did was run water on it and applied presure to stop the bleeding, that took a very long time(hit a vien). Wrapped it like a mummy and drove to the hospital. Doc said many peeps put peroxide on it and that's very bad... it kills cells, so i did the right thing using water only.

cleaned it again tonight, with distilled water...
before cleaning pic, it keeps leaking
Yesterday, the kitchen looked like a crime scene...lol

cv said...

@qqqq

f'in ouch man!!!

U kno, I'm not sure, but think that the thing about hydrogen peroxide being 'bad' kind of comes from the fact that 'fad crazy' Americans started going hog wild & overusing it to help as a teeth whiteners...

I think it also has to do a lot with what concentration of H2O2 you'd be using... Most regular stuff you buy in the store is 97% water (but there are higher concentrations)...

Most docs are forced to err on the cautious side with things (so you don't end up suing their ass if something goes wrong)...

So all I'm really saying is that you you could probably do a little of your own research on it & come up with a more personalized conclusion...

I've almost cut fingers off several times & the doctors used H2O2... They were Johns Hopkins staff, so, well, come to your own conclusion...

I'm sure distilled water is preferable to using 'pond water'...

Bruce might want to weigh in on this subject... I'm just telling stories about what I've experienced & seen...

Ra,

I'd prefer not to get too specific on the RSI for the bonds, just saying its giving a lot of clues for now.

As for the QOTD

I do this Ray Dalio thing now where I ask myself if anything is true

I would have to conclude that quote is not true.

interesting timing, I was, in the last couple of days, having a conversation that included, from myself: "Think about it, We don't Know anything. Only, when We use parameters, or 'in Context', can We begin to define 'What it is that We 'know'.."

and, on like that..

cv, I hear ya, guess Doc's are just analysts too? But in this case I think he meant cleaning a cut minutes after the cut happened. Before stitching he used that reddish/yellowish liquid found in all hospitals. Not sure what it is. Also got a tetanus shot which now seems to ache more than the fingers do... lol

cv said...

@qqqq

probably iodine (reddish yellow liquid)

cv said...

@qqqq

I only use it in instances of severe bouts of pain (like dentistry work & throbbing of the cuts of your type)...

But... Hydrocodone can be your friend at times...

the 'generic' "Povidone" can be found in, many, 'Big Box'-Shoppes..

also, one can use it as a 'Showering-Aid'--you'll find that you can/will, greatly, cut-back on 'underarm' application of Branded chemical cocktails (aka, 'Deorderants'), at the very minimum..

and, really, if your 'Pain' is (that) Acute, trending to Chronic, there's a whole 'nother 'Kettle of Fish' to be concerned with..(something, else, is Wrong..)

Thus the disclaimer...

cv said...

...as for the "reddish yellow liquid"...

Well ~ the last 3 times I went into the hospital for stiches for deep cuts (which includes 3 times in the past 3 years)... I asked what the liquid was that they were putting on (which was reddish yellow)...

They said... "iodine"...

So I'm supposing they all weren't lying to me...

Q's

that looks like it stung pretty bad

Andy T said...

@qqqq

Sorry about that accident. that sucks.

Tiger Woods trades 5:1 in the office.

cv said...

@Andy

I'm thinking about taking you up on that 4:1 Masters on TW (which would even be better than your office 5-1, for you)...

My caveat would be that the $400 would, again, be payable in spot adjusted "junk silver"... Whereas your $100 (should I lose), be payable in FRN's...

cv said...

Rationale on my part is as follows...

For me, it's about like buying an OOTM call on spot silver... Here's the math:

Spot silver is $32.66 as we speak...

$32.66 x .9 (purity) = $29.39 = (round it off to 13 and a half oz.)...

~~~
Now if the price of silver rises to... say... ($81 by next January ~ which would be absurd... right? right?)...
$81 X 13.5 = $1093.50
So essentially I'm getting 10-1 on the call option...
I can't really say I'm at risk of 'missing' a 10-bagger by holding FRN's within the same timeframe...
~~~

But that's how I roll...

cv said...

@Andy

You got $400 in junk silver lying around to "lay" on the prospect of getting a $100 FRN?

cv said...

IOW ~ "Texas Hold 'em"

Your bet has been called (& raised)...

AmenRa said...

Case-Shiller declines again yet New highs > new lows, advances > declines, trin saying sell, pc ratio saying buy, 10yr yield saying sell, vix saying sell. Yet the market is flat to higher. I'm so confused.

AmenRa said...

Almost didn't recognize Rosenberg on Bloomberg. Looks like he might have been hanging out with CV.

cv said...

@Amen

NOBODY hangs around with cv anymore...

AmenRa said...

CV

It appeared that he had lost weight so I figured he slipped into some of your classes.

cv said...

@Andy T

Come on Andy... Let's hear it...

Franklin/Kennedy halves are going for $11.77 on:

http://www.coinflation.com/silver_coin_values.html

$400 worth would be about 34 "halves" (rounded)...

So you spot 34 of those against my $100 FRN... I take Tiger to win the Masters (this year)...

~~~
This is the way the FREE MARKET is supposed to work...
- settlement occurs based on the "currency" stated by the debt collector... Silver is my currency, fiat is yours...
- Negotiation of 'trade' made in open outcry ~ My 'bet' is with Tiger, yours is with the field...
How about it?
