Morning Corner 11.3.11

AUDJPY (weekly info)
new high 0.8064
trend=no
direction=up (2 bars)
high= 0.8064
rev= 0.7376; mid= 0.7720

AUDJPY weekly is forming a dark cloud cover indicating a "risk off" condition is coming. It's back below the 38.2% retrace and SMA(21). With Greece being threatened with expulsion from the Euro and Italy failing to implement austerity measures the dark cloud cover may become a bearish engulfing very quickly.

EURCHF (weekly info)
-no change (above mid)
trend=up
high= 1.2382
rev= 1.1292; mid= 1.1837

Considering the Euro implosion that's on the horizon, I'm wondering if the SNB is regretting setting the peg. It's above the SMA(13), weekly 3LB mid and monthly 3LB mid. It never broke through the 38.2% retrace. The MACD is heading lower and Williams %R is also (but isn't oversold yet).

DXY (weekly info)
new low 75.07
trend=down
low= 75.07
rev= 78.55; mid= 76.81

DXY is back in favor as the Euro is not the place to be. It's back above the SMA(13) & SMA(55). It's also above the weekly & monthly 3LB mids. In under one week it took out the minor retraces so the next stop is 78.76 (the 38.2% retrace).

WTF?!? Futures were being led out to slaughter earlier. What BS rumor/headline is the reason this time?

Why does anybody trade this market? 50 point moves in the S&P all premarket where very few can even trade them?? F this. Bank holiday this shit and get it over with so we can move on with our lives.

My sentiments exactly.

I dunno, personally I enjoy the huge swings

I guess there is something to be said for grinding it out each week though, I get the point.

I have to say that G-Pap allowing his people to have a referendum was a pretty good move. QxKN!

Merkozy (haha) freaked out when the power was taken away from the politicians and given to the people. This move would implode the EU and kiss off any chance they would have of being re-elected.

Was it a wise move? Don't know. Only time will tell.

If another mid-size firm goes under, then an awful lot of people are going to want to go and get their BUCKY back. I think we may be on the verge of a major USD squeeze.

Segregation of Customer Funds

Probably the cardinal safeguard of both futures and securities customers’ funds required by the relevant provisions of the Commodity Exchange Act, the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and the rules and regulations of the CFTC and the SEC is that they be segregated from the funds of the FCM/ broker-dealer and may not be used to meet any obligations of the FCM/broker-dealer. A brief description of these provisions is set forth below.

No worries, see, funds are segregated.

That was from MF Global's web site.
Nothing to worry about.

ROR.

G-Pap had a limited set of choices:

1) Greece has the referendum vote.
2) How well can he swim when weighted down.

Never leave a gap open on the daily chart (especially a gap down). Algo rule #1.

Among the important things discussed today in our office...

"How old is Amanda Drury?"

I guessed 38 and everyone went "UNDER"....

Cannot find her birthdate on the web...

AmenRa said...

Andy T

She graduated from college in 1990 so my guess would be 38-42.

speaking of 'Amanda's'/'age'...

anyone see Amanda Peet, recently?

also, I've found that if one wants a decent Idea of 'how the girl will 'age' (?)', take a look at the mother..
