There once was a man named Obama,
Who thought of change but didn’t wanna,
He found any excuse,
To sit on his caboose,
And ended up doing nada

Thought you'd enjoy, CV... (I did.) ;-)

Yeah... funny! :-)... I remember there was this girl in high school we nicknamed 'the caboose' (in a good way)...

@ben

so you are right about your "call" in 2012

fairly amazing

my calendar here says 9/13/11

apparently you know the future

smartest man alive!!!

---

We shall see... Now... we shall see...

Speaking SOLELY for myself (which, on particular days when there is SQUAT other feedback, I must default to 'talking to myself'... I RESERVE the right to 'have a conversation with myself'...

As for 'calls'...

YES... I happen to like to make them in ADVANCE (as the case may be)...

I prefer THAT to sitting around and looking at charts... then making up stories to explain why ALL THE OTHER PEOPLE who weren't afraid to make calls were totally full of ***t because they didn't read chapter 16, paragraph 8, sentence 6, syllable 4 of somebody's manual...

cv said...

but that's just me...

cv said...

In any case... I'm well aware of the fact that it's a losing battle aroiund here...

---

If I'm wrong... I'll CERTAINLY be made aware of the error...

If I'm right, then the road splits into two destinations...

1. I'm 'Captain Obvious' (after the fact)...
2. I'm 'Lord of Boasts'

...so I have THAT going for me...

CV,

eh me, much like in fantasy, I just take it one day/game at a time over here...you know, I wouldn't want to get too far ahead of myself thinking my forecasts 18 months out are so rock solid when there is a game, or a trade as it were, to be made tomorrow.....

:-)

ben22 said...

and as for being afraid to make calls, lol

lets get something straight

if I make very specific calls on here on a regular basis, I could, literally, lose my job

I'll pass thanks.....

@ben

Last time I checked... NOBODY ever lost any money reading any of CV's comments on a blog... Unless they followed an AD SENSE 'click thru' link to my NCAA picks last weekend...

Time maybe... $$ no...

& further on the NCAA picks...

At least I 'scored' with a 4 unit pick AGAINST the Nittany Lions... It must have been a MIRACLE... I truly pulled that one out of my arse...

this is sort of an interesting article:

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/audience-tea-party-debate-cheers-leaving-uninsured-die-163216817.html

couple thoughts

1. Repubs seem far more dividend internally than dems

2. Ron Paul is the one candidate that seems logical on most levels, therefore he cannot win

3. Is Bill O'reilly going to be asking the questions at the DEM debates? That makes sense right?

CV,

never said a word about anyone losing money on your calls, in fact, didn't even hint at that

my 6:51 is simply a reflection of your earlier posts today, if you have a problem with that then I suppose you'd have to take it up with yourself

The "un" incumbent party usually seems more divideNd

2. Ron Paul is the one candidate that seems logical on most levels, therefore he cannot win

Yup... but it's not a cause/effect argument (though it might as well be)... Let's just say that 'Ron Paul can't win'... The reason I say it's dangerous to make a cause/effect argument out of it is because if you get into that habit, then you have to apply it 360 degrees (meaning you could create a whole list of 'cause/effect' reasons as to why Obama should win...

3. Is Bill O'reilly going to be asking the questions at the DEM debates? That makes sense right?

Nothing EVER makes any sense... Except when Alabama beats Penn State

@ben

BTW... If you're 'worried' about CV (& my propensity to carry on conversations with myself - on days where nobody else bothers to hack out a comment on the keyboard)...

Well... Here's more of ME (at the post game press conference)...

Andy T said...

""That's what freedom is all about, taking your own risks," Paul said and was drowned out by audience applause as he added, "this whole idea that you have to prepare to take care of everybody …"

Ron Paul .... fuck yeah.

Love that guy.

The good news is that for a mere $800, we can get some good "info" at the TBP conference in NYC...

James Altucher will be there...and he's awesome.
Joe Weisenthal should have tons of insight...
"Downtown" Josh Brown will surely drop some pearls on us....

If I didn't have 72,456 other things that ranked higher on my list, I'd definitely be there.

@ben

My AUTOPICK fantasy team is brutal (in a bad way)...

I'll pull some games out of my ass, but I don't see any way of winning unless I'm able to make some moves...

I play Andy's team next week & it looks (thus far) as though I'll get shellacked...

I need some 'shake-ups' to occur around the league to get me back into things (injuries & the like)...

I REALLY think that Randy Moss will return to the Patriots sometime this year...

I got him on my bench just in case... That may be the spark I need...

Anyway... I need HELP...
