  3. 'Dudley faced persistent questions from the audience on food inflation. The president of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York said people forget that even as the price of food is rising, other prices are falling. He mentioned the price of the iPad 2, prompting guffaws from the audience.'

I'll tell you what, these Fed guys are awesomely stupid.

We've all said the "let them eat cake thing at some point in the last year

we've got it all wrong, it's the 2000's baby

  4. News from the "real" world...my not-so-little town has an Apple store. I pad 2 released today? Something big was going on -- line of hundreds of people waiting, literally winding all the way around the block, no parking to be found anywhere, so I assume it was all for Ipad 2. Fascinating. I clearly don't get it...

  5. Obviously, I don't even get that the I is supposed to be "i".

  6. Ben -- a while ago (december?) you posted a link to a blog called Sherrie Questioning All. I check in there from time to time, partly because she makes me look sane. Anyway, she had some really interesting stuff on solar flare activity within the last couple of days...and then this earthquake. Just sayin'.

  8. Oh -- and I'm pissed I didn't take the long setup. Seeing it and not taking it does not pay.

  9. Jennifer,

I'll have to check that out.

The apple store in the mall here has a nasty smell that comes out of it from all the people, it is always mobbed and then they have two employees for every one customer it seems, they staff two full time state police officers in the store, I hate going in that place.

  11. very interesting take on QE2 basically saying it is irrelevant if they let QE2 wind down as planned. Makes sense too-

  21. pretty interesting that Armageddon appears to be upon us-

but alas- folks line up to buy an iPad2?

as if you couldn't sit and reflect- maybe a few days possibly- before you venture forth to purchase a new toy?

and then we have fools from the Fed saying- food prices- WHO CARES!!!- you can get an iPad2 at the same price as an iPad1!

as b22 said- maybe the new take on Marie Antoinette is "let them play on their iPads"
