AT,

I've done quite a few covered calls on AAPL, not the same but that's produced some nice income in various months

those options have a lot of juice in them, which I'm sure is no surprise to anyone, so yeah, the time decay can be really nice at the right times

its like the whole David Tepper

"someone just threw money on the ground, do you want to pick it up"

Market just can't move lower. Lemme guess...the WTE Weekly Claims gives more hope for QE. Give it up already. Unless the SPX is under 1200 and Dow back under 10k the Fed will sit pat. Let TBTF whine like children.

McB,

those AAPL 'Calls' are Ripe for the Selling, no?

good to see that took advantage of that..~

also, re: those Dudes that you had mentioned to me..We're 'leaving them be', for the Time being..
Other 'Fish' "on the Line", so to speak..

but, if you would, keep an Eye on them, See if they move to 'Waters', closer to the Boat..~

Classic.

Glengarry Glenross

"They want to give you their money."

ibid,

Will due, I just found out last week of some internal rumblings in there.....not sure what its really all about though, but if I hear of anything I will keep you posted.

and yeah, last year when aapl went into the long drawn out sideways moved there was a great time to be selling calls on it, the premiums on those options were constantly pretty large.

As for GlenGarry Glenross

what a great movie......

so many lines to quote, wouldn't even know where to start

"...The Federal Reserve Bank of New York said it sold $7.5 billion of collateralized debt obligations linked to commercial mortgages to Barclays Plc (BARC) and Deutsche Bank AG. (DBK)

The joint winning bid “represents good value for the public and significantly exceeds the original price” the central bank paid for the assets, New York Fed President William C. Dudley said today in a statement on the regional bank’s website.

The New York Fed said on April 18 it was inviting eight broker-dealers to submit bids at auction after receiving “several” unsolicited requests to purchase the so-called MAX CDOs, which were held in its Maiden Lane III LLC portfolio. ..."
