AR,

nice wrappage (as per..) ~

yes, this one..
http://finviz.com/quote.ashx?t=CQP

what a wreck..

really, though, didn't even know it existed, until Today..

w/that, if I were long, I would have had to have been wondering 'what was up', back in the middle of January..

that 'Ramp n' Dive' had to have to set off 'some Flags', no?
~~

this..
http://finviz.com/quote.ashx?t=TLT&ty=c&ta=1&p=d

is looking 'less constructive', no?

& this:
http://finviz.com/quote.ashx?t=GRM&ty=c&ta=1&p=d

is looking like ~16, yes?

CQP reversed down on the daily 3LB on 1/19/11, confirmed on 1/20/11 and trending on 2/10/11. Someone knew. Also it kept testing its weekly 3LB mid every week after making the high weekly close on 1/14/11.

AR,

certainly, doesn't look strong..

may have to re-test ~4,20 ?

although, 4+ is an amazingly rich price for a decent 'Miner' ..

during the '008 unwind, b/e was, roughly, ~1.30/lb. ..

ibid.

LTCM was a 'dress rehersal' for much of what we've been seeing..good point..

---

The UNDERLYING in that exchange is that it's all true...

Everything now is just "stage setting"... (Politics & Central Banking)...

Just put a plate of milk on the back door step and see what the 'sheeple' are willing to lick up (Translation: "How much can we STEAL from them in the process")...

It's a confusing game, because the protagonists phase from the politicians - to the bankers - & back again... THEY"RE ALL PLAYING FOR THE SAME TEAM PEOPLE because they have EACH OTHER'S INTERESTS at stake...

You are going to LOSE because you're not one of THEM...

---

The JAPAN analogy (which has been used abundantly on this blog), will, in fact, play out IN THEORY...

... but in PRACTICE will play out in a much different sense...

- Japan had private SAVINGS
- Japan is an island nation which is geographically about the size of California
- At the TIME of the Japan collapse - the USA/China tango was just getting going (not to mention - the "baby boomers" in the US were just entering their prime EARNINGS years & everything attached to that)...
- The YEN never had "reserve currency" status

---

So while CENTRAL BANKERS may make similar policy moves... The result will be different (except for the "micro" timeframes where things might mimic the past)...

---

CV expects that we'll descend down a staircase of (organized) dollar destruction (not to assume that that the CB's have THAT much control, I just believe that it will somehow work out that way due to some HOPEFUL avoidance of utter collapse (as an alternative), will be LUCKILY avoided...

This makes it more imperative THAN EVER to disengage onesself from the idea of "dollar denominated paper assets" (bank balances, trading accounts, & all the TAX ramifications thereof)...

As Faber might say... "It'll all be WURTHLEZZ"...

Land & physical assets will be what one needs to get thru the period...

When it FINALLY all gets burned down to the ground (& obviously we're not there yet - Obama had his chance, but he chose the DARK SIDE of the force [or - the DARK SIDE just chose HIM because he's basically a dumb fuck])... Sorry for believing in him... so sad, you're mad... So when it finally all gets burned to the ground (on WHOMEVERS watch - be it REPUBLICRAT or DUMBOPLICAN)... we'll finally have the chance to INVEST in a future...

---

SO... Not to be PURPOSEFULLY "anti-blogmatic"... But intraday trading calls in this environment is fairly akin to taking BETS on whether NEANDERTHAL or CRO-MAGNON were going to survive as the SUPER-SPECIES...

IMHO (of course)... CV "possessing" the intellectual quotient of a Nanderthal/Cro-Magnon PRIMATE (as the case may be)...

Excellent wrapper as always AR.

For fun, what does pi sound like?

http://www.collegehumor.com/video:1948828?

No Phi yet...

Anonymous said...

bob,

if one could play a few instruments, they could make their own video based on Phi:

http://goldennumber.net/music.htm

Also always thought this was very neat:

The Recording Institute Of Detroit built a "Golden Section Studio" to phi proportions. They report that:

"The result of using the Golden Section in studio construction is a remarkable "even" quality with regard to frequencies. Your voice has pretty much the same frequencies present when you talk in any part of the room, the reverb has the same frequency spectrum as the direct sound. Drummers love the way their drums sound and record in this room. There is only approximately 33% of the surface area treated for acoustical absorption making this room quite live. It is a great room to record a distant mic on a lead guitar."

You can see the studio design here:

WHOCOODANODE???

My 'deep seated' AL GORE - Global Warming/Corn based ETHANOL - Obama - Chevy Volt will solve all our problems answer warning mechanism happens to be kicking in as I read this...

So PLEASE FORGIVE MY DIM-WITTED IGNORANCE... I'll just have to work HARDER to suppress my skepticism when I listen to these GIANTS of human intellectual thought!

Frankly

My impression is that Ellen DeGeneres was simply 'salivating' at the idea of putting her head between Pamela Anderson's tits... While shaking it violently left & right and saying...

"BUBUBUBUBUBUBUBUBUBUBUBUBU...."

Well - at least that's why SOME may be interested in having her on a show...

What a fucking DOUCHE!

Yeah dude... What about rats & mosquitoes?... Are they, TOO, ENTITLED to clean water, food, shelter, & medical assistance???

No??? Just YOU... Right??? The SAME dude that has the RIGHT to 'fly swat' them out of existence or EXTERMINATE them with poison...

So Yeah... THANKS for your $5.00 donation... It goes to fund some "non-profit" organization that exists to FUND itself in the interest of staffing about a half dozen losers to do blow and get stoned 24/7...

According to estimates by Shayne McGuire in his new book, Hard Money; Taking Gold to a Higher Investment Level, the typical pension fund holds about 0.15% of its assets in gold. He estimates another 0.15% is devoted to gold mining stocks, giving us a total of 0.30% – that is, less than one third of one percent of assets committed to the gold sector

"We ACTUALLY DO have people WHO LIVE IN A FUCKING DESERT"

I was just about to mention that. Furthermore, most of the malnourished people of the world do NOT live in a desert. Otherwise, Sam Kinison was spot on.

"How those folks were convinced to pay a premium on taxes is beyond me"

"Desert" just means there is little rain, nothing more, nothing less.

I'll be gone for a bit.. so you don't have to reply to me.. : )
