No doubt you saw this: ZH reports "1,400-to-1" recent ratio of insider buying to insider selling!

Ra,

all I know is, it aint healthy....and that's not a penny stock.

it's only a matter of time before another one across the board

BTW, that Tepper commentary/video reminds me of Cayne saying, ..as long as the music is playing you've got to get up and and dance."

I found that interview borderline "obnoxious" and I'm probably the most libertarian/capitalist guy you can find. If I was Fed Governor watching that interview I would be thinking: "Oh yeah? Thanks for front running me. I'm going bend you over first asshole."

CV said...

Let the bending begin...

and let it start with Tepper & Paulson

Andy T said...

Sorry to bring that comment up...I read the rest of the blog today and realize I'm wait to a lot of discussion. Forget it please.

Andy T said...

From CV:

"But to them, it feels good, just aligning themselves with Mr. Barry Libertarian...

I wish I hadn't gone there or read the comments... What had been just an average boring day has now become annoying..."

Yeah....

Ugh....

The need to read an "Economic Interpretation of the Consitution" someday....

It could be argued that the entire Constitution was founded in the interests of corporations....

CV said...

I know a guy who put a half unit on a parlay...

TITANS-FALCONS-VIKINGS-COWBOYS-EAGLES & he has the PACKERS tied in to that for a 46-1 payout...

Very smart guy... He's "hedging" that payout with a 6 unit play on the BEARS tonight...

That's how it's done folks!

- Packers win - he wins 23-1 on a 1 unit play
- Bears win, he loses a half unit, but cashes in on a 6 unit play...

BULLS MAKE MONEY - BEARS MAKE MONEY - PIGS GET SLAUGHTERED!

That's why CV is on the sidelines tonight...

Why turn a winning week into a losing one?

ben22 said...

there is a new phrase that we need to implement into the daily discussion:

total conviction environments

AmenRa said...

Ben

PGN also had a flash crash where it traded down to $4 from $44 the other day. Instead of NASDAQ canceling all trades below the NBBO price before the crash they used a 15% cutoff. There should be some lawsuits because that seems arbitrary.

CV said...

I should have said, the 23-1 payday gets haircut down by 7 units, but it's still a nice payday...

Anyway - I'm sure everyone here gets the point...

ben22 said...

AT,

re: Tepper

total conviction environment

these never end well, especially when everyone "knows"

couple his video with the spanish prime ministers....

CV said...

@ben

CONVICTION ENVIRONMENT...

Ha!

My favorite comment, by, um, ME today (ror) was my (3:18)...

"It also reflects an uncertainty as it pertains to the direction of stocks"

BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHAAAAAAAAAAAA!

OK - Cv is going to sign off right now... Someone - please wake me up when there is CERTAINTY as to which direction prices will go, then I'll jump in with two feet...

ROR!

ben22 said...

Ra,

I'm ashamed to say it but I had not realized it appears this is going on with other stocks, not just PGN.

gives me a sick feeling in my stomach

as for lawsuits, the SEC should be first in line to get one as far as I'm concerned.

CV said...

"Someone - please wake me up when there is CERTAINTY as to which direction prices will go, then I'll jump in with two feet...

ROR!"

Oh wait - Let me re-phrase that...

"Someone - please wake me up when there is CERTAINTY as to which direction prices will go, then I'll jump in with two feet...THE OTHER WAY"...

CV said...

...; but the Mannwich Indicator is working fine for the time being...

did anyone go see the movie this weekend, I missed if anyone said they did earlier?

I'm not paying to see that in the theatre.
Shia apparently went from 20k to 650k in his schwab account (in real life)

ben22 said...

"Anyway - I'm sure everyone here gets the point..."

Is it to buy silver coins? That's what I think.

CV said...

@MCF (7:58)

You're killing me man! :-)

CV said...

I'm checking out for a little...

C'MON MAN is on in about 15 minutes...

ben22 said...

I'm rooting for the bears tonight big time

Daaaaa Bears

oh, and to clarify, this is for football

ok, and the market....

Bruce in Tennessee said...

Interesting day. Pulling for the bears. Bought a little ECH today. We'll see you guys tomorrow.

CV said...

C'MON MAN

LMFAO - Ok... So the "highlight of C'MON MAN this week was Chris Berman going off about Carl Cheffers (who was the head ref in the Dallas-Houston game that Andy T was at over the weekend)...

Which reminds CV about his PRE-GAME analysis for this past weekends thread...

CV said...

OK... I'll refrain from making any more excuses... But you people "rolling your eyes" right now (you know who you are)... Guess what?... Carl Cheffers has been named the head referee for the Houston/Dallas game this Sunday (game write up later)... I'm going to say this one time, and one time only... I'll give you a PERSONAL GUARANTEE that when the Cowboys win by a slim margin (which they will)... You all will be doing the same REF BITCHING that I'm talking about right now...

Ok - so the only thing I was wrong about was that the Cowboys didn't win by a slim margin... THEY BLEW HOUSTON OUT...

But my FOCUS was on the ref...

CV is trying to slowly gain the trust of readers here about NFL knowledge...

---

Like tonight... and CV's unwavering insistence to REACH for Aaron Rodgers in the first round of ALL fantasy drafts...

Things will be come cleared as tonight's game (and the season) unfolds...

& now that I said that... Julius Peppers will probably send him out of the game with a broken clavicle...

Please DOG... No! :-)

CV said...

& CV is going to say this before anyone else will...

The PACKERS need to make a move to trade for MARSHAWN LYNCH (from the Bills)...

A "Cal" grad (who knows Aaron Rodgers, from playing days)...

The Bills SUCK... Will probably draft first next year... And they have CJ Spiller & Fred Jackson...

They just cut Trent Edwards, and instead are going with NOODLE ARM Harvard Grad RYAN FITZPATRICK as their QB...

To all you "uninitiated" out there... This tells you that the BILLS have already MAILED IT IN for the rest of the season...

It's rebuilding city...

Sell EVERYTHING that's not bolted down... STARTING WITH MARSHAWN LYNCH... The Packers ought to make a deal for him... Brandon Jackson & DeShawn Wynn are NOT the answers for a team which OUGHT to represent the NFC in this years SUPER BOWL...

ben22 said...

yeah this makes sense, Forte looks good on his first 4 runs so the bears seem to abandon the run completely.

CV said...

Forte will probably make more RECEIVING yards than RUSHING yards this year...

That said...

I'm HOPING that Cutler dials up a drive here with the Crosby kick OB... before halftime...

Take it to 10-7...

Or better... Give the PACK one more chance AFTER 10-7 to score b4 halftime...

I-Man said...

LOL Ben...

I'm like 25 min behind, came to check in with yall, and had the same thoughts about the bears run game... wtf?

Do they WANT Cutler to implode?

Andy T said...

BR in rare form tonight....he asked when someone "jumps the shark"....

I had to point out his comment:

"BR: ZH is a blogger who covers Wall Street.
I am a Wall Streeter who blogs.

So while he was typing, I was speaking to our clients, doing a Tech Ticker interview for Yahoo, a radio interview, and then making arrangements with NBC World News Tonite."

Ugh.

Andy.. re: Tepper.. perhaps you didn't see my link to the nymag interview.. David Tepper—whose hedge fund made a killing during the crash by betting the government wouldn’t let the big banks fail—is coming out of the billionaire closet.
