Thats sad news about Macho Man

I saw him live when I was a little kid at the Erie Civic Center, it was awesome. HIm and lovely Elizabeth. He was one of the coolest wrestlers for sure.

RIP.

From BR's "Read List"

Capitalists Who Fear Free Markets
http://www.nytimes.com/2011/05/20/business/20norris.html?_r=2&ref=business&pagewanted=all

This really is becoming a troubling "trend"...bondholders who can never take a "haircut" or get wiped out. It's almost like there's this weird idea that investing in "big companies" should be safe...and that it's impossible to ever lose money holding this debt.

Dangerous slope indeed.

@ben22:

All the guys in our office range between 36 and 40 years old....it WAS actually a melancholy day for us...we ALL grew up on that stuff.

At the time it was pretty fun entertainment.

Randy Savage, behind Hulk Hogan, was probably the most famous/memorable of that era.

AT,

I was way into wrestling, I even got back into it early in college when Stone Cold Steve Austin was champ, we all loved that guy too, thought it was hilarious. I think the most epic match I can ever remember outside of any Ultimate Warrior match was The Undertaker against Mick Foley in the cage match, he literally destroyed that guy in that match.

The old school guys were all so much fun

Rowdy Roddy Piper and Pipers Pit, Jake the Snake Roberts, Ko-Ko Beware, Iron Sheik, Brutus the Barber Beefcake, the mouth of the South Jimmy Hart

so many to name.

I haven't seen a match since about 2000.

Wonder when the 8th Grade Dance become such a "big deal."

My daughter and a few of her 'buds' all had to get mani-pedicures done....they're doing their hair and getting ready at my house right now. We have to take all these kids out to a nice dinner before hand.

What the hell man?

It's almost like the "Proms" of my day. Ridiculous....

Alas, I have no input on this matter.
