The move up in Gold from the 7/28 low is one of the stupidest/oddest looking patterns I've ever seen....it's getting really, really bizarre out there. It feels like we're on the cusp of something very major.

I like the Dolphins tonight as well, CV. I think Brandon Marshall could go for 20 receptions, 200 yards and 3 TDs...one of the all time great games on MNF.

ha ha.

@Andy

CV keeps trying to HAMMER chart patterns into 3P&ADH formations...

I haven't succeeded yet...

Best I've been able to come up with is a Pablo Picasso version of 3P&ADH...

---

You need Brandon Marshall to come up with a MONSTER GAME tonight...

I'm parrying that with Davone Bess & Benjarvus Green-Ellis...

On paper, CV has the edge... OH NO! HE SAID "ON PAPER"... The WORST way, ever, in the history of mankind to handicap a football game...

I'm actually rooting for YOU a little here... I'd LOVE to see Miami win...

I have a little side action on them (not for money, but in this football picks HANDICAPPING league that I'm in that runs the entire season)... Currently, I'm in 3rd (out of a field of 92), but that's like evaluating the leader of the New York Marathon before they've even gotten over the Verazzano Narrows Bridge...

I had a MONSTER week against my bookie this week (on top of last week)... CV is rolling... So it's SURE to come crashing down soon...

Time to get small... (and PRESERVE winnings)... Traders on THIS BLOG ought to know what I'm talking about...

Monster weeks tho... SWEET! :-)

It's been a very bizzare season so far (4 weeks in)...

Normally, the bookmakers toss out CUPCAKE lines for the first 3-4 week of the year... PAYOUT some winnings... Then reel it all back in when people get stupid and undisciplined, and start doubling down on bets...

CV sees and feels that, because 95% of the bets I make, I side with THE HOUSE...

People mistakenly believe that Vegas tries to get EVEN MONEY on both sides of matches (and just scores with the vig)... Anything but!

It's hard to go against public perception week after week... I mean, COME ON... Who? besides CV? was actually taking:

- Panthers vs. Saints
- 49ers vs. Falcons
- Browns vs. Bengals
- Lions vs. Packers
- Jags vs. Colts

last week... Step up and make yourselves known! Publish your picks while you're at it!

ANYWAY... It's strange that the HOUSE is winning so early this year...

I'm serious when I say this... IT MUST BE THE ECONOMY! It's a business, after all!

Very bizzare season... (part deux)...

All I have to say is... THE ONLY UNDEFEATED TEAM IN THE NFL THUS FAR ARE THE KANSAS CITY CHIEFS...

Need I go on?

Time for C'MON MAN!... I'll check back in later traders...

Andy T said...

yeah man...

i find that betting has a definite "mean reversion" quality to it....

Would almost suggest taking next week off or only betting on the ones that you're "really" certain on...

I've definitely lost the FF match. I'm really irritated mostly because Aaron Rodgers had an "off day" and you didn't really have a RB either. Friggin' hating FF right now...

Jim Sinclair's missive was interesting tonight.. thinks the really big news is that there is no collateral behind the securitized mortgage debt..

Andy, I wish I had something as innocuous and unimportant to hate as FF!!! Instead, I have really important stuff to hate right now, laughing till I cry.. : )

AR, didn't mean to ignore your wrap!! But, to answer your question, no, we are not there yet.

AT,

thanks for the updated charts, great stuff as always.

Miami HAS to win. They already lost a division game at home. Can't lose another one if they want to have a chance at playoffs.

@Amen

Now THAT's the spirit...

Go FINS!...

@karen

You gotta get your dear self into some BREAD & CIRCUSES... It calms the nerves a little (unless you're ANDY T's squad playing against CV's and watching balls thrown to Davone Bess for TD's - In that case... Life is tough!)...

:-)

@Andy

And as for your comments in the SMACK...

CV was "lucky" with the SD D?... Dude - if you've noticed for 2 years now... I swap out DEFENSES on a weekly basis...

In fact... The whole rigomorol last year was because CV ran in to a SUBSTITUTION problem (due to the fact that I limited trades to 25)... I basically EFFED myself...

If you notice... I've swapped defenses 3 times already this year... I go week per week (depending on matchups)... I knew DRUNK Derek Anderson was good for about 5 sacks and 3 interceptions... My "luck" was that I got even more...

But now the Derek Anderson era seems to be over in Arizona - so I'm going to have to find another CHUMP to fry...

This week - CAROLINA (who play the BEARS) might be a good candidate...

But While you're picking up the Carolina D on the waiver wire - CV will be performing THE PRESTIGE elsewhere... :-)

Andy T said...

@cv. I swap out defenses on a weekly basis as well. That's why I never draft a D until the last pick or two. Well done on the SD pickup, but "C'mon Man"....28 points? I think that's the most I've ever seen scored... It was triple the median score for this week.

The "Little" Patriots ! (Headed by a couple of coaches who each make me feel "better" about my weight...)

CV said...

@wunsa

Yeah... Weis, "Romeo", and Pioli...

Matt Cassell isn't going to take them to the promised land tho... They'd need a serious QB eventually...

Oct. 5 (Bloomberg) -- Illinois’s deteriorating financial condition threatens to swallow up more than half its general- fund budget in the next fiscal year, Comptroller Dan Hynes said.

The financial picture drawn by Hynes in a report yesterday projects a fiscal 2012 deficit of $15 billion or more, while this year’s budget calls for $26 billion in spending. The state’s financial condition “continues to deteriorate,” Hynes said, citing a 36 percent surge in fiscal 2010 bills to be paid from current-year revenue.

...AS Crocodile Dundee once said,"Now THAT's a deficit!"
